Children and Youth
St. Martin's strives to involve all ages in worship, spiritual formation and leadership. Children are involved increasingly naturally in our worship and leadership and these activities are increasingly focused on helping our children form spiritual lives. Kids have the opportunity each Sunday to form their relationship with God through worshiping in church and throughout the year to help lead outreach and service within our community. We try to engage kids in the sermons and reflections, invite young people to help lead worship as acolytes and occasionally readers or ushers, and welcome their service in community meals and other ways of sharing God's love. And our beautiful new nursery is always available for babies and toddlers during the 10:00 service. All of this reminds us that we all have responsibility for helping our young people as they grow in grace and love.
Intergenerational Sunday School
Third Sundays feature "Intergenerational Sunday School," after coffee hour, in which children, youth and adults explore the Bible together.
In addition to helping to lead worship and Intergenerational Sunday School, the Youth Group engages in bible study, prayer and hanging out, and gets together about once a month to do service projects and fun things together like making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, helping with community meals, movie nights and laser tag.
We have a beautiful, well-equipped nursery for babies and toddlers, staffed each Sunday during the 10:00 service.
