Welcome from the Rector

Welcome to St. Martin’s Church in Des Plaines, Illinois! I’m so glad you have found us.

St. Martin's is an Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Chicago, part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Since joining St. Martin’s as rector in July of 2008 I have been continually impressed by the gracious hospitality and real yearning to welcome everyone of all ages and backgrounds into this Christian fellowship.

If you are seeking a faith community and relationship with God, I invite you to visit us on a Sunday morning for the celebration of the Eucharist (worship with Holy Communion) at either 8:00 or 10:00, adult education in our newly renovated Strauss-Betker Hall at 9:00, and Sunday School at 9:50 in the lower level or Parish House next door. Be sure to stay for our warm, festive and engaging coffee hour after the 10:00 service. You may also want to join us for a simple celebration of the Eucharist on Wednesday mornings at 9:30. Feel free to call or email me if you would like to arrange an appointment to talk about St. Martin’s, the church or your faith.

Whether you are seeking, shopping, wandering the web or a long-time member of our community, I hope you will find this site helpful in knowing about all of the exciting things going on at St. Martin’s. Check back often as we intend to update it frequently. Please let us know if you have suggestions or announcements for the site.

It is a delight to be in communication with you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
